For those who can remember back to ’71, the Tom Chelbana, Bill Dobson, & Bob Mazzolini Pro Stock Camaro from Riverside (where Tom was a High School shop instructor) spawned this Hemi Barracuda driven by Bob Mazzolini who is still very active in 2015 drag racing.
At a recent Studebaker show in La Palma Park in Anaheim, another three early Pro Stock drivers spent a few minutes talking about the ‘good old days’ at OCIR. L/R: ‘Dyno’ Don Lorentzen, Jim Baker, ‘Chevy West’ pilot, and ‘Generation Gap’, Bob Anderson. These guys agreed they had made in excess of 100 runs in Brackets and Pro Stock at ‘the county’!
