On American Icon – The Muscle Car, Famed automotive designer Chip Foose tells the story of an American original, the muscle car. Chip reviews the Street Hemi and the A-Body from a historical perspective and showcases a variety of the vehicles from the era that we now consider American Icons, as well as the legends who drove them.
Bob Mazzolini sits down with Chip Foose to discuss the impact on the drag racing scene of the time, as well as his iconic 1966 Plymouth Belvedere 426 Hemi that he has owned for over 40 years. The odometer shows less than 2,800 miles and is featured as one of the first street Hemi cars available to the public.
Bob states in the interview, his intention to never sell the car. Even though this interview took place several years ago, we are featuring it now because Bob is finally ready to allow the Plymouth to find a new home. While it was not an easy decision, maybe it can help someone fulfill their own bucket list.
